Remember you have 30 seconds to impress your visitor. Read some of my suggestions below to learn what will make your medical website more attractive to visitors.
Always use dark text on a light background. It is easier on the visitor’s eyes. Don’t use a bunch of different crazy fonts. My rule is no more than 3 different types. I suggest you use the same font throughout the website and Bold or Italicize your text to draw attention to a point.
Use pictures to tell your story, but don’t have them so big they overwhelm the page. Include a picture of yourself and even your staff to do a little personal branding on the website. Your visitors are more likely to pick up the phone to make an appointment.
If you have awards or belong to associations, put the logos on the front page. That builds trust in your practice.
A video at the top of the home page describing your medical practice is also a fantastic way to entice the visitor to stay a little longer. Microsoft has free movie making tools. You can use some still pictures and add music and your keywords to make a great video. Just make it no more than 1 or 2 minutes.
Remember the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) principle and you will have a website that keeps visitors and gets them coming back.
